Funeral Services for 58-year old Carl Kutschara of Chadron, NE, are Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Chadron.

Burial will be at the Hay Springs City Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established for the CenterPoint – Addiction & Mental Health Treatment Center in Lincoln NE. Donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Carl Kutschara was born to Hyle and Marilyn (Kranz) Kutschara on February 2, 1963, in Rushville, NE, and passed away on September 20, 2021 in Chadron

Carl joined his older brother Chuck in growing up on the family farm northeast of Hay Springs. He attended the local country schools for grade school, then Platte Valley Academy at Shelton, NE, for high school. After graduating in 1981, he continued school at Southeast Community College in Lincoln.

Carl decided to return home after college and worked with his dad on the family farm, doing what he enjoyed.

He built a house just up the hill from his parents and then met Shauna Hoke. They were married and made a home together. Carl adopted Shauna’s son Scout, then Aran joined the family.

Carl attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church and held many different church offices over the years. He enjoyed a visit to Norway to work on a mission/construction project.

Carl was proceeded in death by his father Hyle Kutschara and Aunt Mary Lou Kutschara.

Carl is survived by his wife Shauna of Chadron, sons Scout and wife Maisy of Ephrata. WA, Aran of Chadron, mother Marilyn Kutschara of Hay Springs, brother Chuck and wife Alice of Hay Springs, father-in-law Lyle Hoke and wife Linda of Scottsbluff.

He is also survived by nephews Jared and Selena Kutschara of Omaha. NE, Jonathan and Mandi of Hutchinson, MN, niece Jesse and Ryan Child of Lincoln, NE; great-nieces and nephews Madison and Max Kutschara of Hutchinson, MN, Delaney and Lucy Kutschara of Eagle, NE, and Morgan and Gavin Child of Lincoln, NE, as well as uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

  1. We are holding the family up in prayer. Carl was such a soft hearted and Caring person. It showed in all he did. I will miss him. My heart goes out to my dear friend Marilyn and to Shsuna, Scout and Aran. May God guide you through this impossible time. Hugs
