Chadron Author Poe Ballantine Speaking Today On His New Book At Chadron Public Library

Loading

Chadron author Poe Ballantine has written a new book and will talk about it this afternoon at 2:00 in a free event in the Chadron Public Library.

Ballantine’s best-known book is “Love & Terror on the Howling Plains of Nowhere, which combined his own life’s journey with the still unexplained death in 2006 of his neighbor, Chadron State College math professor Steve Haataja.

He says his new book, Rodney Kills at Night, has a pun for a title because it’s about a Native American stand-up comic.

Chadron Library Director Rossella Tesch thinks Ballantine is overly modest about the new book – she wholeheartedly recommends it to everyone.

As for his afternoon talk at the library, Ballantine says it will rely heavily on audience participation.

The Chadron Public Library has two copies of Rodney Kills At Night donated by the author and Tesch plans to get more. Poe Ballantine will also have copies for sale and autographing after his talk.

  1. I was delighted when Poe gave me a copy of the book a few months ago. It is a tongue-in-cheek, and well worth the read. I have all of his books and have never been disappointed. Go, Poe!
