Chadron Boys Shut Out In State Golf Qualifying


    Chadron won’t be sending anyone to the Boys golf state tournament this year after being shut out Tuesday at the B-4 district tournament in Sidney.

Broc Berry and Chase Olson were the only Cards to finish in the top 40 with Berry 17th at 88 and Olsen 28th at 91.

Rounding out the squad were Gage Wild, who placed 42nd with a 99, Trey Hendrickson at 102 for 46th, and Zane Cullers, who finished 51st at 111.

As a team, the Cardinals were 8th at 376. Scottsbluff took the team title and of 3 spots at state with a 315, followed by Ogallala at 318 and McCook at 325. Alliance, Sidney, and Gering finished 3-4-5.

. Ogallala’s Caleb Castillo took individual honors with an even-par 71, topping Taytom Timbers of Alliance by 1 stroke. Timbers is headed to state as an individual
