     The Chadron City Council met for a little over an hour Tuesday afternoon in its first budget workshop for the coming fiscal year.Â
Mayor Mark Werner says the focus wasn’t on specific items or dollar amounts, but instead on giving City Manager John Sutherland general guidelines to use in preparing his proposed budget.
Sutherland is scheduled to present his spending package to the council at its first meeting in August. Final action on the budget is required by the end of September.
