The Chadron Volunteer Fire Department responded mid-morning on Wednesday to assist plugging a gas leak reported on West 8th Street in Chadron. After less than an hour on scene with two city pumpers and an ambulance on standby, firefighters and gas company personnel were able to successfully plug the leaking gas line with no injuries or mishaps.
