With district coming up this week, the Chadron High girls cross country team stayed at 7th in the final regular season NXCCA rankings.
The Cardinals are coming off of a Western Conference championship and hold the 5th fastest team time in Class C this season. They are also one of two C5 district teams in the polls as McCook jumps back to the top spot.
Auburn, Lincoln Christian, Douglas County West and Wayne complete the top five.
Chadron will run at the C5 district meet in Ogallala on Thursday looking for their fourth consecutive team trip to the state meet. Over the last three years they’ve captured a pair of runner-ups and a district championship.
