Chadron Mayor George Klein was seen Sunday spraying weeds along Highway 20 in Chadron. He said that he feels strongly about the positive impression our community can give to our citizens and tourists by keeping weeds controlled throughout our city. We are known as the Magical City, but weeds just do not magically disappear.
I would love to see the junk cars on West 2nd Street magically disappear. Can I park on the sidewalk, too?
How about extending the snow emergency route on West 2nd Street to Mears Street?
Thanks George. I can remember so well years ago, that several of us business people join together to mow and spray weeds to help the community look better. I have since moved away, but Dennis Brown was an Intercal part of that effort. Many people called us the weedeaters. it would sure be nice if the individual landowners and business owners took care of their own weed problem. You’re absolutely right it does make the city look much better again thanks for your efforts.
