The Chadron Police Department responded Tuesday afternoon for a vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 385 and 6th Street in Chadron. Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein says it appears both vehicles were driving east towards the entrance to Eagle Chevrolet. While pulling further into the intersection, the front vehicle came to a stop while the rear vehicle kept moving forward causing a rear end collision.
No major damage was reported on either vehicle and no citations were issued to either motorist. The Rescue Unit responded to medically evaluate and clear the involved parties.
The Chadron PD also took in a warrant arrest Tuesday. Chief Hickstein says 50 year old Ryan Waters was arrested on a Dawes County warrant as well as issued a citation for driving under suspension.
