Heavy rain causes flooding near Oglala, South Dakota Tuesday evening.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe Emergency Management Facebook page reported that over 6-7 inches of rain fell in a short period of time in Oglala along with the surrounding areas. Some homes had to be evacuated due to flash flooding that occurred with the storms with evacuees being taken to the Rec Center.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe reported that numerous roads were washed out due to the storm with culverts and creek culverts being plugged with debris.
Temperatures are expected to rise over the next few days with chances of strong, fast moving storms across the region.
