1.  ROUTINE MATTERS:

    • Repurpose and Redesign – level 3 – State Champion – 1st place and a gold medal – Morgan Schommer – National Qualifier!!

    • Fashion Construction and Design Test – 3rd place – Morgan Schommer
    • Career Investigation – level 2 – 10th place and a bronze medal – Chelsea Stephens

i.  High Fives-

  • Congratulations to Vivian Golembiewski, Sam Kahl, and Matthew Sorenson for making it to the National NHD competition!
  • All of the staff who helped with the CMS Scholastics Meet on March 24th. We hosted 10 schools at the meet, which is an outstanding turnout! CMS 7th graders took 2nd!
  • Mrs. Watson for meeting with 8th graders to talk about HS schedules on March 29th.
  • Kevin Coy for meeting with 8th graders to talk about Upward Bound on March 30th.
  • CMS track season has begun, and we have 74 students participating! The first track meet of the year is scheduled for April 4th in Scottsbluff. We will host our meet on April 9th at Chadron State College.
  • ‘It’s A Big Deal Day’ April 6th – Thanks to all the CHS staff and students for their work during this annual day of testing in the high school!  Also, thank you to our guest speakers for their time sharing with our seniors on transitional topics!

  • NCPA ACADEMIC ALL-STATE WINTER AWARDS – Boys Basketball Talon Jelinek, Zander Rust Girls Basketball Demi Ferguson, Marlee Pinnt Speech Natalie Carattini, Naomie Elliott Wrestling Quinn Bailey, Rhett Cullers Girls Wrestling Kenli Boeselager, Fia Rasmussen.
  • Thank you to former CHS Teacher, Keith Walton for speaking to our Government and US History students on March 28th to promote the book he has written about the Vietnam War.
  • List of 2023 Graduating Seniors (69 seniors) – Contingent upon successful completion for diploma.
  • To staff and students in conducting a successful Lockdown Drill.  Students were quick to get into position and ready to defend themselves.  Students also practiced our Secure Drill in which students and teachers practice coming in off of the playground quickly in order to get secured in classrooms.
  • To all of the members of the F.A.S.T. team including staff and community members. We are excited to welcome the new students and families to our building next fall.
  • To our interview team and all of our applicants, we had some great applicants for our open positions.
  • To Mrs. Rischling for coordinating our Challenge Days with staff and students from CSC
  • To Mrs. Rischling and all of our students and families for their involvement in the American Heart Challenge. Chadron Primary School raised over $8,000 to help the American Heart Association with research, education, and health initiatives to help Americans lead healthier lives.
  • To CIS staff and students in conducting our spring Lockdown Drill.  Staff had great conversations related to increasing the safety of our students and carried those out during the drill.
  • To the F.A.S.T. team that is meeting weekly with incoming 5th-grade students and their families. This program eases the transition for students and gets them ready for moving to middle school this fall!
  • To Mrs. Rischling for coordinating Challenge Day with staff and students from CSC.

AQuESTT – Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow  AQuESTT is Nebraska’s next-generation accountability system.
