Chadron has put five wrestlers into Saturday’s semifinals of the B-4 district wrestling meet in Sidney following Friday’s results.
Braden Underwood at 132 and Quinn Bailey at 145 were the only two Cardinals that had to wrestle two matches on Friday to advance to the semifinals. Underwood pinned both of his opponents while Bailey used a pin and a major decision to advance through his bracket.
Davin Serres, Rhett Cullers, and Ryan Bickel all had first round byes before collecting quarterfinal victories at 138, 170, and 285-lbs respectively.
Zane Cullers, Dalton Stewart, and Devin Merryman are all in the consolation rounds after suffering defeats in their opening matches.
The final four placers in each weight class advance to the state meet next weekend in Omaha.
