The Scottsbluff girls filled the top 5 spots and ran away with the team title at Tuesday’s season opening Sidney Invitational golf tournament.
The Bearcats Anna Kelley captured top honors with a 71, followed by four of her teammates.
Chadron’s Kenzie Pourier was the only Cardinal within striking distance, firing a 114 to finish 18th, five strokes out of the top 10.
Taegan Bach and Norah Winkler carded matching 135’s. Gillian Conway fired a 136 and Reece Ritterbush finished with a 144.
Chadron finished 6th out of 8 in the team standings with a 510. Mitchell and Alliance didn’t record team scores.
Scottsbluff cleared the rest of the field by over 100 strokes with a 321. Ogallala was runner-up with a 431.
Chadron heads to Chimney Rock Golf Course and the Bayard Invite on Thursday.
