Funeral services for 76-year old Cheryl Roubideaux are Friday, Nov 18, 2022 at 10:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD, with Ms Joyce Tibbitts officiating.
Interment services will be held at a later date
Visitation is Thurs, Nov 17 from 3:00-10:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with vigil and Rosary starting at 7:00.
Cheryl Cecelia Roubideaux was born on January 31, 1946 in Pine Ridge, SD to Chris Roubideaux and Elizabeth (Brewer) Roubideaux. Cheryl made her journey to the Spirit World on November 10, 2022 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hay Springs, NE.
Cheryl had earned her degree as a pharmacy technician from Chabot College. She spent her career working in pharmacies in California, Colorado, and Pine Ridge, SD. She enjoyed interacting with patients and always had a smile for everyone.
Cheryl enjoyed being outside and getting exercise. She was an avid swimmer and was in the water every chance she had. Her most precious time was spent with family and friends. When Cheryl had spare time, she was often baking cookies, brownies and fudge for her loved ones. However, her Buffalo berry jelly was coveted by all those around her. Her embroidery skills were impeccable, and she perfected the French knot. All of her grandchildren received a handmade blanket from their beloved Gran.
Cheryl is survived by her children Diane Grimm (John Frezquez), of Rushville, NE, Dawn (Tim) Fetter of Hay Springs, NE, and Denise (David) Lundberg of Edgewater, MD; sisters Margaret Roubideaux of Rapid City, SD and Monie Roubideaux of Casa Grande, AZ; grandchildren Brittany DuBray of Bellevue, NE, Nick (Ashley) Garcia of Dayton, NV, Aaron Twiss of Omaha, NE, Adrianna and Brianna Fresquez, both of Rushville, NE, Karissa Byington of Chadron, NE, David Byington III of Pine Ridge, SD, and Ryan Lundberg of Edgewater, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Chris Roubideaux; mother, Elizabeth (Brewer) Roubideaux; son, David Byington; sisters, Jean Powers, FayeAnn Schafer, Verna Withrow, Roberta Merrival, Chrystal Folsom, and Marion Jensen; and brothers, Patrick Lee, Donald Lee, and Chris Roubideaux, Jr.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Brittany DuBray, Nick Garcia, Ryan Lundberg, Aaron Twiss, Adrianna Fresquez, Brianna Fresquez, Karissa Byington and David Byington III.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
