Burial is at St Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Rockyford, SD.
A one-night wake service starts Friday at noon at the Cottier residence in Pine Ridge.
Clifford Allen “CJ” (Cottier) Grass Jr was born on September 3, 1984 in Pine Ridge, SD to Clifford Grass S. and Rose Cottier. CJ made his journey to the Spirit World on July 21, 2023 near Pine Ridge, SD.
CJ is survived by his mother Rose Cottier; children Tianna Cottier, Wacey Cottier, Hazel Cottier, Yamni Grass, Lorelie Grass, Miracle Cottier, Baby Seige Cottier; sisters Beth Ellen Pourier-Cottier, Jeanine Cottier, and JeriLynn Cottier, all of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Patrick Grass, and Bishop Cottier, both of Pine Ridge, SD, Andrew & Alfreda Cottier, both of Manderson, SD and Wesley and Rebecca Cottier, both of Chadron, NE; and uncles Bert Cottier aunt: Alberta Richard, both of Pine Ridge, SD; Special Friend: Zelda Pulliam and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
CJ was preceded in death by his father Clifford Grass Sr; son Victor Cottier-Blue Bird; sisters Lori Ann Cottier and Kelly Rae Cottier; grandparents Bert and Marcella Cottier; aunts Catherine Cottier and Sandra Mesteth; uncle Jerry Cottier; and nephews Devin Elk Boy and Logan Warrior-Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Flying Hawk, Bert Cottier Sr, Michael DuBray, Tory Ghost Bear, DR Brewer, Albert Cottier, Wesley Cottier, Jr., Tyler Cottier, Toni Ghost, Demery Grass, Rusty Richards, and Beth Ellen Pourier-Grass.
