COVID Hospitalizations In Wyoming Reach Highest Level Of Pandemic

Loading

More Wyoming residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 than at any other point in the pandemic.

Wyoming hospitals reported 249 COVID-19 patients on Thursday, topping the previous high of 247 set last November.

Five Wyoming hospitals have at some point gone into crisis care during the current surge because they lacked resources to care for all patients.

The vast majority of the hospitalized patients aren’t vaccinated, not surprising since unvaccinated people make up 98% of all new cases in Wyoming since May 1 and only 43% of residents are vaccinated, 2nd-lowest rate in the nation.
