As high school sports begin today in Nebraska, schedule changes have already been made ahead of our football coverage for next Friday.
Crawford co-AD John Lemmon said on Wednesday that next Friday’s football game against Edgemont has been canceled for the second straight year. The Moguls have struggled with participation numbers as of late and had been trying to piece together an independent 6-man schedule made of teams from Nebraska and Wyoming.
Lemmon said numerous attempts were made to find a replacement team to fill next week’s vacancy but were unsuccessful. The Rams will instead play a scrimmage.
Also on Wednesday, Sioux County football coach Barry Swisher says that kickoff time for their opener against Creek Valley has been moved up a half an hour to accommodate the officiating crew who also has a game on Friday night.
