Cree Lane Tail was born to Holly Rae Tail and Sky Thunder Hawk on December 20, 2011 in Pine Ridge, SD. Cree made his journey to the Spirit World on October 12, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Cree was an incredibly enthusiastic and talented boy; a singer, dancer and storyteller. He loved basketball, fixing bikes, riding bikes, playing computer games and rap music.
He was a master woodcutter and a willing and thoughtful helper. He was outgoing, friendly and loved by all who knew him.
Cree is survived by his brothers Akicita and Mahpiya Thunder Hawk, both of Porcupine, SD; sister Skyelinn Johannah Renee Thunder Hawk of Porcupine, SD; grandmother Lois Thunder Hawk of Porcupine, SD; and great grandparents Eli JTail Sr and Carolyn Tail.
Cree was preceded in death by his parents, Holly Tail and Sky Thunder Hawk; and grandfather Francis Thunder Hawk.
Pallbearers will be Akicita Thunder Hawk, Julian Tail, Joe “Staccs” Thunder Hawk, Aaliyah Briseno, Cody Crazy Bear, Ethan Tail, Wayne High Hawk, Bryan Thunder Hawk, Christopher Yellow Shield, and Waziyata Thunder Hawk.
