David “Wagz” Howard Arapahoe Sr “Wankantiyan Yanke” was born on July 9, 1972 in Scottsbluff, NE to Emery Arapahoe and JoAnn Sierra. David made his journey to the Spirit World on Jan 8, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
David is survived by his mother JoAnn Sierra; children David Arapahoe Jr and Alden Arapahoe; step-children Steven Swift Bird and Alexandria Barrett; significant other Audrey Kills Back; brothers Carlos Hoof, Emery Arapahoe Jr, Joseph Hoof, John Eder, and Antonio Weston Sr; sisters Mary Ortiz and Adelyne Elk Boy; aunt Susan Roan Eagle and Dorothy Tobacco; uncle Joe Catches; hunka sister Joyce Wheeler; hunka brother, Norman Bianas; grandmother Patricia Catches; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren & cousins.
David was preceded in death by his father Emery Arapahoe Sr; paternal grandparents David & Alice Arapahoe; maternal grandparents Joseph “Baby Joe” Sierra Jr and Adelyne Catches; grandfather Valentino “Pachi” Sierra Sr (AIM Friend); maternal great-grandparents Joe Catches and Rose Star; children Alden Thomas and John Howard Arapahoe; brothers Alden Arapahoe, Thomas Hoof, Brian Jefferies; sister Darlene Arapahoe; uncle Wilmer Mesteth; nieces and nephews Hoksila Arapahoe, Ohitika Hoof, Joannie Hoof, and Anpo Wicahpi Weston; and close friend Oliver Jack.
