David Rowland, Sr. was born on January 2, 1966 in Pine Ridge, SD to Clarence Rowland and Cleone Ice. David made his journey to the Spirit World on June 16, 2022 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO.

David is survived by his spouse, Ramona Rowland of Kyle, SD; daughter, Rena Rowland of Chadron, NE; son, David Rowland, Jr. of Kyle, SD; sister, Dorothy Sun Bear of Wounded Knee, SD; 12 grandchildren; and niece, Jennifer Rowland.

David was preceded in death by his daughters, Ashley Dawn Rowland and Emily Joyce Rowland; mother, Cleone Ice; father, Clarence Rowland; brothers, Patrick Rowland, Sr. and Garry Rowland, Sr.; and sisters, Vicky Left Hand and Anita Rowland.

Pallbearers will be Ashtin Shot To Pieces, Patrick Rowland, Jr., Casey Red Cloud, Lester Jack, Jr., Jeremy Chase In Winter, Anthony Bolts, Marvin Bolts, Bradlee Rowland, Shawn Rowland, David Rowland, Jr., Wakinyan Rowland, and Austin Backward.
