  1. We wish to thank our family, friends, friends of friends, and the entire community of Chadron for all of their help, support and many, many prayers for the safe return of our ‘dream car’ 1967 maroon mustang convertible that was stolen last week from a locked storage unit.

We are so very grateful to everyone who shared our story and went out of their way to pass the word to others across the country via social media and word of mouth. We feel so fortunate to live in a community full of good people who care about others and are willing to go out of their way to right a wrong. Once again, many, many thanks to all:)

  2. I’m sorry to hear that I will keep an eye on it I go to South Dakota sometimes have a 1990 ford mustang convertible dual exhaust interior is in great condition, so is the roof and it only has 40,000 original miles. how many miles does yours have

  3. It seems someone knew the existence of a Ford Mustang in one of the units, but wasn’t sure of which one, so cut the locks off of storage units until the Mustang was located.

  4. Hopefully the RCPD had the sense to dust the heck out of that car for fingerprints. An older car like that would have a lot of surface area conducive for leaving fingerprints on it. Good job, RCPD for recovering the car! And I agree with Chris above, the thief(s) definitely was after that car and that car only.
