A Mass of Christian Burial for 73-year old Donald Apple will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD, with Fr Ron Seminara, SJ, officiating.
Burial is at St Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle
A one-night wake service starts Thurs, May 23, at 3:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle

Donald Leroy Apple was born on October 28, 1942 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Apple and Mildred (Shangreau) Apple. Donald made his journey to the Spirit World on May 8, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Donald is survived by his children, Madonna Apple, Duane Apple, and Pam Warren (Apple) Jeffre; brothers, John Apple and Melvin Apple; sisters, Arlene Brewer, Phyllis Heathershaw, Betty Apple, and Patricia Deon-Catches; aunt, Elizabeth (Tom) Shangreau-Conroy; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Apple; sister, Delores Wilson; and grandson, Duane Apple, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Buckman, William Apple, Josh Apple, Kevin Apple, Ryan Apple, Myron Heathershaw, Colton Jacobs, Tom Jobgen, and Jesse Trueblood.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
