An overnight trip to McDonald’s in Chadron turned into a DUI arrest early Wednesday morning in Chadron.
According to Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein, one of his officers observed a vehicle parked in the drive thru at around 2 o’clock in the morning, a time in which the restaurant is closed for business. Upon further investigation of the vehicle, officers found the vehicle to be running with the driver passed out in the driver’s seat.
After an on scene investigation, 32 year old David Hinman was arrested for alleged DUI, refusing a preliminary breath test, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, officers are also investigating a stolen bike that was reported from the dance school on Main Street. Hickstein says there are no suspects at this time and the bike has not yet been found.
