Dunn 3-0 at Hemingford

Sioux County’s Jesse Dunn took first place at the Hemingford Round Robin Wrestling Invite Dec. 1.

Dunn won his matches in the 160-weight class with three consecutive pins. Dunn made quick work of Morrill’s Tyler Lashley in round one, winning in 54 seconds. He pinned Brentlyn Boe of North Platte in 1:45 and Rylan Perry, also of North Platte, in 1:22 in the next two rounds.

The Warriors youngest wrestler, freshman Baxter Reece, went 1-2 at the meet. He lost his quarterfinal match to Ty Davis of North Platte in 3:05 but pinned Crawford’s Fayt Anderson in 40 seconds in the round one consolation matchup. Jonathan Fritzler of Hemingford pinned Reece in 1:55 in the consolation semi-finals.

Sioux County’s final wrestler, Jadon Skavdahl, suffered two losses by pin. The first came to Hemingford’s Fritzler in 2:23 in the quarterfinals. Nicholos Arroyo of Morrill pinned Skavdahl in 40 seconds in the consolation semi-finals.

Overall, the Warriors placed sixth as a team, earning 23 points. The North Platte JV won the meet with 209.5 points.
