Eastern Wyoming College Names 3 Finalists For President

       The presidential search committee at Eastern Wyoming College has named 3 finalists for the post and scheduled on-campus interviews and open forums for each.

          Dr Randy Smith is Director of Program Development/Emergency Management for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. An enrolled member of the Choctaw Tribe, Smith has over a quarter-century in higher education including years as a college president.

      Dr James Y Taylor is Chief Executive and Associated Vice President of Utah State University, leading 2 campuses and multiple learning centers. He was also president of a successful healthcare college with 2 campuses and a strong online presence.

      Dr Michelle Schutt is Vice President of Community and Learner Services at the HSI designated College of Southern Idaho. 

      The open forums for each will run the first day from 1:30-2:45 at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the EWC Torrington Campus and the following day from 11-noon on the Douglas campus in the Multi-Purpose Room.

    Dr Smith’s are set for next Monday and Tuesday, Dr Taylor for Thursday the 31st and Friday April 1st, and Dr Schutt on Monday April 4th and Tuesday the 5th. 

       The forums are all open to the public with everyone welcome to attend and input solicited from all those present.
