Funeral services for 69-year old Edith Cope are Friday, Dec 30, 2022 at noon at the White River Community Building in White River, SD.
Graveside services will follow at St Thomas Episcopal Cemetery in Corn Creek, SD.

Edith Marie (Bettelyoun) Cope was born on January 5, 1953 in Pine Ridge, SD to Percy Bettelyoun Sr and Geraldine Cherry Janis. Edith made her journey to the Spirit World on November 21, 2022 at the St. Joseph Dignity Health Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Edith is survived by her spouse Merle Cope; daughter Rhiannon Cope; and brothers Alvin and Gordon Bettelyoun.
Edith was preceded in death by her father Percy Bettelyoun Sr; mother Geraldine Cherry Janis; and brothers Percy Bettelyoun Jr and William Bettelyoun.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Bettelyoun Jr, Jordan Lee, Tony Janis, Delbert Black Bear, Casey Cope, and Alvin Bettelyoun Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Denny Cope, Albert Bettelyoun, Bruce knight, and All Family, Friends & Relatives.
