Edward “Ed” Leeling

Private remembrances will be observed for 71-year old Edward “Ed” Leeling of Crawford, NE.

Edward Allen Leeling was born July 11, 1951, to Charles (Allen) and Doris Leeling in Lusk, Wyo, and died October 3, 2022.

After graduating from Lusk High School, Ed attended Sidney Tech, did some ranch work, and moved to Scottsbluff, NE, where he worked for many years for Nebraska Public Power. 

During that time, he married his wife Sandy and they adopted two boys: Nick and Troy. Ed and Sandy divorced after 13 years of marriage. 

Ed then moved to Crawford and went to work at Fort Robinson State Park. There he met his Significant Other, Cheri Beaver, with whom he spent the 22 years until his death.

Ed enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spent a lot of time with his family at Glendo Reservoir in Wyoming. He also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by sons Nick Leeling (Tricia Wardell) and Troy Leeling; brother David Leeling, nephews Mathew (Tracy) Leeling and Andrew Leeling; grandson Austin, and great-niece Kadence Leeling.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Doris Leeling
