Floyd Elwood Landreth was born Jan 7, 1948, and passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hay Springs, NE
Elwood was a rancher for half of his life and he loved horses and cattle. He broke and trained his horse, Babe. She was quite a challenge for him, but in the end he won. Elwood was married to Sharon Hardin at that time and they had three children together.
Ellwood and Sharon later divorced and he married Pam Strawhorn, who had 2 children of her own. Elwood was pretty much a mechanic by that time and could fix anything. He could have something torn apart all over the place, and then go back and put it together. He and Pam divorced and he moved next to his parents and lived.
Elwood loved to go sit on a hill and look at the trees and hills and sunsets and sunrises. He loved to fish and hunt. He could listen to Marty Robbins over and over and he loved westerns, especially John Wayne.
Elwood is survived by his children Laura (Loren) Nussbaum, Brenda Bishop, Kris (Royce) Wagner, and Denver Banister; his grandchildren Tiffany, Vicki, Colton, Matt, Joey, Patty, Dez, Brandon, Allen, Sarah, Autumn, Jennifer, and Tucker; and 16 great-grandchildren
He is also survived by his brothers Jim (Linda) Landreth, Robert Landreth, Jerry (Rose) Landreth, and Phil (Katie) Landreth,
Elwood was preceded in death by his father Floyd, his mother Mae, his brother Kenny, and his stepdaughter Pam.
RIP Dad and soar on angels wings
