Funeral Services for 80-year old Eugene “Gene” Kerner of Chadron, NE, are Friday, Feb 10, 2023 at 2:00 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chadron.
Military honors are being handled by the United States Army and the Chadron Veterans Honor Guard with taps to be played by Joe Rischling
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.

Eugene Edward Kerner was born on August 25, 1942, in Tripp County, SD. He passed away from his early life on Feb 7, 2023, at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, NE, surrounded by family.
Eugene was preceded in death by his Mother Olena (Klundt) Kerner, father Oscar Kerner, and brothers James, Joseph, and Vernon Kerner.
Eugene was survived by his wife Joan Kerner, sons Douglas (Jana) and Darin (Cammie) Kerner, Julie (Troy) Miller, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
