Flags To Fly At Half-Staff Sat In Neb For Former Congressman Brad Ashford


      Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has announced that all U-S and state flags will fly at half-staff on Saturday in honor of former Congressman Brad Ashford of Omaha.

       The 72-year old Ashford died of brain cancer on Tuesday and his funeral is Saturday at 10:00 in Omaha at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in north Omaha.

      A Facebook post Wednesday from the Ashford family says details are being finalized for a livestream of the funeral.

     The post also says the family has been β€œso blessed to receive this outpouring of support as we celebrate Brad’s wonderful life. Thank you all. We love you.”
