Former Weston County Wyoming Clerk Takes Plea Deal

Loading

Former Weston County Wyoming Clerk Becky Hadlock could avoid jail time following her plea deal following two felony charges for her conduct during and after the 2024 general election.

Hadlock who resigned from office in April was charged with one count of violating the election code as an official and one count of falsifying election documents. Both charges are felonies and she could have faced up to five years in prison.

Under terms of the plea deal prosecutors would agree to dismiss one felony charge and reduce the second to a misdemeanor election code violation.

If a judge agrees to the deal Hadlock will not do time in prison and will not be required to serve probation. Hadlock would however have to pay a 500 dollar fine. The deal would be subject to Hadlock pleading guilty to the reduced charges.
