Foul Play Not Suspected In Unattended Crawford Death

Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug says it appears foul play was NOT the cause of death for a Crawford man found dead in his home Saturday, and he’s ordered an autopsy and toxicological screening to determine the specific cause.

32-year old Evan Fox was found unresponsive by concerned family members who called 911 about 12:15 Saturday afternoon.

Dawes County Sheriff’s deputies and Crawford rescue personnel responded, but determined Mr Fox was deceased.

Haug was then contacted. Upon his arrival, he reviewed the scene, witness interviews, and medical reports – concluding that foul play was not involved.

Haug is asking anyone having had recent contact with Evan Fox or information about his recent activities to contact the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office at 308-432-3025.
