Garth Brooks To Play Memorial Stadium August 14

Loading

Garth Brooks will perform at the University of Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium on August 14th, part of his national Stadium Tour. The university hopes to draw 90,000 fans with in-the-round seating on the field as well as the permanent seats.

It’s the first concert of any kind in Memorial Stadium since Larry the Cable Guy on the 4th of July in 2009 and the first musical performance there since Farm Aid III in 1987.

Athletic Director Bill Moos says the school has “looked long and hard for the past year at several options to boost the local and state economy, so the opportunity to partner with Garth Brooks for a show at Memorial Stadium was a no-brainer.”

The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour began in March of 2019 and has broken attendance records at every stop on the tour. Moos says it will “provide a great kickoff to the fall and benefit the University, City of Lincoln and State of Nebraska.”

The all-inclusive tickets cost $94.95 each and go on sale next Friday, May 21, at 10 a.m with a limit of 8 per purchase.

Sales are only through Ticketmaster, online at ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks, via the Garth Brooks hotline at 1-877-654-2784 or through the Ticketmaster App on your mobile phone.
