Funeral services for 64-year old General Evans are Tues, March 7, 2023 at 1:00 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City, SD, with Pastor Chris Morgan officiating.
Burial follows at 2:30 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
A one-night wake service starts Monday, March 6, at noon at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City.
General Lester Evans was born on March 20, 1958 in Logan, WV, to Agnes Mamie Woman Dress and Ernie Lester Evans. General made his journey to the Spirit World on February 23, 2023 at his home in Rapid City.
General is survived by his children General (Kimmy) Evans, Alicia Velazquez, and Cory Walks; Coyote – his dog that he loved so so much; sisters Denise Evans & Francine Broken Nose both of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Jerry Evans of Box Elder, SD and Joseph “JD” Evans of Yankton, SD; grandchildren Carliano (Casper) and Jayson “J-ROC” Evans, Emiliano, Ulises, and Ace Velazquez, Ambrosia Bohem, Dion Bohem, and Areio “Bubba” Bohem; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many loved ones.
General was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Mamie Woman Dress; father Ernie Lester Evans; brother Ernie Edward Evans; son Glenn Evans; daughter Carla Evans; sister Jackie Evans; and niece Judy Evans.
Pallbearers will be Jayson Evans, Zyin Wright, Ocean Stevenson, Matt Returns, Carliano Evans, Hoksila Whistler, Paul Smashed Ice, and Andrew Running Hawk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sherry Mousseaux, Alberta Clinchers, Doreen Ramirez, Mike Borton, Don Witson, Evans Family, American Horse Family, Monument Health Dialysis, and All Friends & Relatives.
