Mass of Christian Burial for 71-year old Geneva Lone Hill will be held Monday, Oct 23, 2023 at 3:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.

Visitation precedes the mass from noon-to-3:00, also at Sacred Heart Catholic

Geneva (Yellow Hair) Lone Hill, was born on April 13, 1952 to Rebecca (Two Lance) Yellow Hair & Stephen Yellow Hair at home in Hemingford, NE. She passed away at home in Batesland, SD, on October 15, 2023.

Geneva is a part of the Wahokiza Nunpa Tiospaye of Wakpamni Lake, SD. She has numerous extended family members who are a part of this large Tiospaye. All members of this Tiospaye are descendants of Mato Wakan Win & Wahokiza Nunpa.

Geneva is survived by her children Devonna, Trina (Bryce Cornelius), Jason (Tiana Featherman), and Roxann (Naiche Tayac) Lone Hill; siblings Wilma Standing Bear, Kelly Looking Horse, Patrick, Milo, Connie, Joe Sr, and David Yellow Hair; nieces Harriet Wilson, Weyaka, Mauni, Wicahpi, & Waketah Looking Horse, Kim & Kristan Tarrant, Lisa Kinney, Allison, Anpo, Sara, & Stella Yellow Hair, Kaitlyn, Ryannen, & Rebecca Roberts; nephews Charlie Standing Bear, Wakinyan Looking Horse, Joey, Lonnie, Luke, John, James, and Thomas Yellow Hair; she was also the proud Unci to Isabella, Wicahpi, Jase, & Eve Lone Hill, Mathias & Logan Cornelius, Callan, Zaniya, Wagliyohi & Iyoyanpa Tayac;

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Mel V Lone Hill; parents Rebecca & Stephen Yellow Hair; and siblings Lonnie, John Paul “Tony”, Thomas Sr, Barbara Yellow Hair, and Peggy Tarrant.

Pallbearers will be JJ, Jeffrey, & Jordan Wilson, Jase & Callan Lone Hill, Chad Bradford, Jacob Standing Bear, and Mathias Cornelius.
