Funeral services for 73-year old Glenn Denton Jr are Friday, Dec 8, 2023, at 10:00, at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Committal services follow at 1:00 at the Beaver Valley Cemetery, about 15 miles north of Hay Springs, NE, or 12 miles northeast of Chadron, NE.
Visitation will be held Thurs, Dec 7, from 5-7:00 at Chamberlain McColley’s in Hot Springs.

Glenn E Denton Jr was born January 31, 1950, to Glenn E Denton Sr and Joyce (McLatchy Leavitt) Denton. He passed away Nov 25, 2023.
Glenn attended Craven Creek School District 79 in a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade, then attended high school in Rushville, NE for 9th and 10th grades. He graduated from Polson Mountain High School in Montana in 1968.
Glenn joined the Marine Corps after graduating high school in 1968 and went on to serve 30 years before retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. Glenn was a combat veteran who received the Purple Heart for wounds suffered during combat.
Glenn started Camp Hamilton Veterans Memorial Park Inc. in 1978 and it continues to thrive to this day.
Glenn is survived by his wife Esther, the love of his life; children; grandchildren; and siblings.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; his brothers Arthur Denton and Gerald Denton; and his sister Mildred Denton Frohman.
Honorary pallbearers include Jose Barron, Oscar Barron, Raul Barron, Greg Frohman, Ronnie Denton, Dave Tiensvold, Mark Marquez and all of Glenn’s family and friends.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements for Glenn Denton Jr.
