Funeral services for 68-year old Goldie Starr, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2021 have been postponed with no new date scheduled at this time.. 

Goldie Ann Starr was born on November 25, 1952, in Pine Ridge, SD, to Martin Slow Bear and Eleanor Broken Nose.  Goldie made her journey to the Spirit World on September 25, 2021. at her home near Oglala, SD.  

Goldie is survived by her spouse, Ivan Francis Starr; daughters, Lisa (Steve) Romey, Gina (John) Starr, Jenny Owen, Promise (Jose) Mendoza, and Edwina Fills The Pipe; sons, Wilbur Flute, Nick (Billie) Western Boy, Ivan (Carla)Starr III, Cory (Joni) Black Feather, Derrick (Callie) Star Comes Out, Juan O’Gorman, and Keith Reynolds; siblings, Donald (Caroline) Slow Bear, Kimberly Slow Bear, Vivian Reed, Saunie Wilson, and Ron (Thelma) Thomas.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Eleanor Slow Bear; sisters, Estelle Starr and Margaret Slow Bear; brothers, Edwin Fills Pipe and Wilson Slow Bear; daughter, Raynae Brave Heart; granddaughter, Nicollette McLaughlin; sister-in-law, Joan Decker; and brother-in-law, Sonny Reed.

Pallbearers will be Leavan Starr, Trevor Blacksmith, Ronin Rodriguez, Russell Fast Wolf, Jr., Jeremiah Beaver, Ezra Beaver, Titus Beaver, Lazarus Starr, Calvin Holy Rock, Amos Two Bulls, Ryan McLaughlin, and Taylor Rouillard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Black Hills Dialysis, Monument Health, Mayo Clinic-Rochester, Circle of Life, Prairie Wind Casino, Isna Wica Owayawa, Treasure Island Resort & Casino, O’Kola School, Ain Duh Yung School, Evelyn, Marvin, & Everette Helper Sundance, Franklin Hotel, All Her Children and Grandchildren Whether Adopted Or Not, She Doted On Every Single One Of You, All Of You Were Her World, and All Friends & Relatives, there are so many to mention.
