Funeral Services for 16-year old Gracie Lynn Thunder Hawk are  Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:00 at the Wakan Community Center in Rockyford, SD, with The Rev. Harold Eagle Bull officiating and traditional Lakota services by Marlin Under Baggage

Burial is at St Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery in Rockyford

A one-night wake service starts Sunday, October 17, at 1:00, also at the Wakan Community Center in Rockyford with evening services starting at 6:00

Gracie Lynn Thunder Hawk “Wanbli Cangleska Winyan” was born on May 31, 2005 in Pine Ridge, SD to Rocky Thunder Hawk and Amanda Ghost.  Gracie made her journey to the Spirit World on October 10, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Gracie is survived by her mother, Amanda Ghost of Manderson, SD; father, Rocky (Carrie Adams) Thunder Hawk of Manderson, SD; siblings, Rayona White Butterfly and RJ White Butterfly both of Manderson, SD; paternal grandparents, Colleen Little Moon and Roger Thunder Hawk both of Rockyford, SD; god-parents, Pastor Judy Miller of Rapid City, SD, Charlotte Eagle Bull of Wounded Knee, SD, and Georgia Afraid of Hawk of Manderson, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gracie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Yolande Ghost and Sara Pawnee Leggins; aunts, Julia Swallow-Ghost, Pauline White Butterfly, and Victoria White Butterfly; and uncles, Benjamin Joseph Janis III, Delane Elk Boy, and Donovan Elk Boy.

Pallbearers will be Corey Shott, Jr., Arlen Janis, Jr., Nevada Janis, William Janis, Tia Shott, Alissa Watkins, Page Janis, Kaylee Provost, Sincere White Butterfly, Lalissa Watkins, Serenity Thunder Horse, and Agnes Ghost.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rockyford and Little Wound School Students & Staff, Glorianna Under Baggage, Tammy Steele, Benjamin Bird, and All Friends & Relatives.
