The high school graduation season is upon us with the first in the Northern Panhandle coming up this afternoon – Sioux County High School at 2:00 in the gymnasium in Harrison.
The area’s smallest high school has a graduating class of only five – 3 boys and 2 girls. They’ve chosen the sunflower as their class flower, with Navy blue and gold the class colors, and One Republic’s “I Lived” as the class song.
The Sioux County High School Class of 2023 quote comes from the late First Lady and humanitarian Eleanor Roosevelt – “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”
As for other area graduations, Chadron State College holds its a week from today while Chadron, Crawford, Hay Springs, and Gordon-Rushville high schools will all hold their graduations a week after that on May 13.
