Hot Springs Wins, Learns Playoff Opponent, G-R Sets Up District Title Game With Mitchell

Hot Springs capped off a 6-2 regular season on Friday with a 42-0 win over Hill City and punched their ticket to the South Dakota 11B playoffs.

The Bison will meet familiar foe next Thursday host Bridgewater Emery/Ethan, the team that eliminated the Bison from the postseason last year.

– Gordon-Rushville held up their end of the deal to set up a district championship game with Mitchell next Friday night. The Mustangs built a 48-0 lead through three quarters and took down Hershey 48-6 at home.

The winner of next week’s Gordon-Rushville/Mitchell game will claim the C2-7 district title and the automatic berth to the C2 playoffs.

– Crawford went on the road and picked up a much needed win against Minatare 69-34. A win next week against Banner County will give the Rams an even 4-4 record and an outside chance for the D6 playoffs.
