PeeWee was the second of 4 children and the only girl). She graduated from American Horse Day School in 1954 and continued to attend high school at OCS in Pine Ridge, graduating with the Class of 1958.
After high school, she returned to Allen, where she married the love of her life, Tommy Fast Wolf.
In August of 1965, PeeWee started her lifelong passion of teaching by working as a teacher’s aide in all the classrooms at the American Horse School.
Education was very important to PeeWee and she returned to school in her 40s, attending OLC and graduating with an AA degree in Education with the Class of 1984.
She was moved to the kindergarten classrooms and was there until moving to the library in 1998. She retired in 2021 from the American Horse School, which had dedicated its library in honor of her as The Irene Fast Wolf Library.
PeeWee gave 65 years to education at the American Horse School, and enjoyed every minute of it with all the students and staff, past and present.
PeeWee left a legacy of laughter, love, a smile that would melt your heart, and a hug that would warm your soul.
