A Mass of Christian Burial for 69-year old Jacqualynne Gray will be Wed, Dec 28, 2022 at 11:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge.
A one-night wake service starts Tues, Dec 27, at 1:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge with evening services at 7:00
Jacqualynne Vann Gray was born on July 29, 1953 in Shawnee, OK to Chissoe Gray and Marion (Janis) Gray. Jacqualynne made her journey to the Spirit World on December 13, 2022 at the Chadron Community Hospital in Chadron, NE.
Jacqualynne is survived by her children Sean (Casey) Gray and Chissoe Gray; hunka children Derek Black Elk, Justin Backward, Efrem “JT” Trueblood, Will White Eyes, Mike White Eyes, Jeff Pourier, and Silas Little Brave; grandchildren Raven and Gus Gray; brothers Alvin Janis, Calvin Janis, and Terry Campos; sisters Angie Stover, Theresa Halsey, KayAnn Janis, Mozzella Albert, Deb Janis-Cordier, and Wendy Stabnow; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jacqualynne was preceded in death by her parents Chissoe Gray and Marion (Janis) Gray; siblings Ed Gray, Baby Boy Gray, and Baby Girl Gray; aunt Lenora Watters; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Tony Vocu, Wes Whirlwind Horse, Efrem “JT” Trueblood, David Janis, Derek Black Elk, and Justin Backward.
Honorary pallbearers are the RWA Wrestling Crew, Black Hills Dialysis Unit, Crestview & Oglala Lakota Sioux Nursing Home Staff, Oglala Lakota Housing Authority, and All Friends & Relatives.
