At his request, there will be no services for 64-year old James “Jim” McGannon. Instead, Jim asked that everyone take a drink in honor of him.
To do that, the McGannon family invites everyone to join them Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 5:00 at the 120 Bar in Chadron.

James Arthur McGannon was born October 6, 1958, to Yot and Lucille McGannon, and died April 11th, 2023, at Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, NE
The youngest of 5 children, Jim spent his life ranching and loving the many, many animal friends he made along the way.
His life was completed in 1996 when he and his wife welcomed their son, Dillon, into the world. Jim and Dillon became best friends and many know the two went hand-in-hand for the rest of Jim’s life. He will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his son, Dillon McGannon (Emelee); sisters Patty McCulloch (Tom), Mary Gasper (Dan), and Beth Borges (John); and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was welcomed with open arms by his parents, Yot and Lucille, his dearly-missed older brother Marty, and his many pets.
Bates-Gould Funeral Home of Alliance is in charge of arrangements for Jim McGannon.
