Funeral services for 38-year old Jamie Graham are Thurs, Jan 12, 2022 at 10:00 at the Rockyford Community Building in Rockyford, SD, with Ms Joyce Tibbitts officiating.

Burial is at the Means Family Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD

A one-night wake service starts Wed, January 12, at 5:00, also at the Rockyford Community Building.

Jamie Leo Graham was born on May 21, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jo Ann Black Weasel and was adopted by Michael Graham and Donna Coppedge. Jamie made his journey to the Spirit World on January 5, 2022 at his home in Wounded Knee, SD.

Jamie graduated 8th grade from Wounded Knee District School and attended Red Cloud High School and Pine Ridge High School. He earned his GED and learned auto mechanics at Box Elder Job Corps and Western Dakota Technical Institute. 

As a young boy he was mechanically inclined and loved working on automobiles, then as man went on to earn his living doing auto mechanic jobs. 

Jamie had a good sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He had a soft spot for dogs and always had a fur baby or two by his side. 

He spent much of his free time dismantling and customizing bicycles, but also had an interest in art and drew many pictures and tattoos. 

He was easy to get along with, personable, and had many friends. 

Jamie is survived by his father, Michael Graham; stepmother Norma Tibbitts; sisters Monica (Judd) Bergeson, Sara Graham – Bear, Jessica Graham, Marilyn Eagle Elk, and Shelly Grinnell; brother Vernon Grinnell Jr.; Step siblings Dani Her Many Horses, Brian Pille, and Robert Pille; Children Misty Graham, Grace Romero, Maggie Romero, Michael Graham, and Donna Graham; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Coppedge; son, Sung Okile (Looks For His Horse) Jakob-Dylan Graham; grandmother, Margaret Black Weasel; grandfather, Thomas Black Weasel; and great-grandmother, Theresa Two Two-Means. He passed away with his special friend, Alma Ree Howe. 

Pallbearers will be James Adams, Sean Means, Isaiah Richards, Pat White Face, Justin Yellow Wolf, Mario Graham, and Wyatt Graham.

Honorary pallbearers are the Howard & Alvina Graham family, Frank Locke family, Wilbur Locke family, Emil Two Two family, Hermus & Grace Janis family, Robert & Rebecca Jumping Eagle family, Alta White Plume family, Jess Coppedge family, Karen Howe family, and all other relatives & friends.
