Funeral services for 86-year old Patricia “Patsy Hunter” Jackson are Sat, Jan 15, 2022 at 1:00 at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 221 Knollwood Drive, Rapid City, SD
Luncheon to follow at the nearby Mother Butler Hall.
Visitation precedes the funeral from noon-1:00.
There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Patricia Ann Hunter Jackson was born on Dec. 18, 1935 at home in Kyle, SD to John Stephen Hunter and Maggie Gibbons. She made her Journey to the Spirit World on January 7, 2022 in Bloomington, MN.
Patricia attended the Holy Rosary Mission for her elementary and secondary education. She then attended and graduated from OCS in Pine Ridge, SD.
Patricia had various jobs throughout her years, but she enjoyed the last one the most as she worked for the Rapid City Girls Club and Youth and Family Services for 21 years before retiring in 2004.
She moved to Minnesota in January 2017 because she needed nursing home care and none could be found in SD close to her home.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, sons Donald & Robert, son-in-law Reno, great-granddaughter Ella, and siblings Tommy, Ambrose (Blondie), Harland (Babe), Aloysius (Al), Leonard, Caroline (Sissy), Colleen, Rebecca, and Sidney.
Patricia is survived by her children Billy Joe, Carol, Jean & daughter-in-law Carrie, all of Rapid City, and Donna (Dave) of Bloomington, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren Will, Jason (Kim), Elias, Chad (Nickole), Patricia (Ben), Jordyn. great-grandchildren Damon, Shay, Elias, Avriana, great-great-grandson Theo, brother John (Jr) Hunter of Los Angeles, CA., and many nieces and nephews.
