A memorial has been established for his children’s education fund. Checks can be made out to Chelsey Corlett or Virginia Salisbury.

Jesse Paul Corlett was born Dec 30, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ, to Charles and Virginia Corlett. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Jesse and his family moved to Chadron when he was in elementary school and he developed lifelong friendships there. Jesse was an avid athlete and sports enthusiast and loved playing basketball.

Any of Jesse’s friends were aware of what “GO UTES” meant. When all of us were yelling “GO BIG RED”, he had a different viewpoint. His kids report he was a lifetime hero at “Topgolf” in his later years.

Jesse loved his three children and family. Jesse knew no stranger and made friends wherever he was, which was brought to light from a number of people we have heard from in the last several days.

Jesse will be sorely missed by us all. Our world will not be the same without him. A light may have gone out here but it will shine bright upstairs. He had a contagious smile to light up every room.

Jesse tried to pass on to his kids the love he had for sports. Always spending time practicing and taking them to their events.

Jesse is survived by his loving children Tayven, Temperance, and Tarek Corlett; mother Virginia Salisbury and step-father Dennis Salisbury; father Charles Corlett and step-mother Cydne Corlett; grandmother Mardra Horse; special friend Abbie Heidtbrink; and several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a multitude of friends.
