Funeral services for 72-year old John Martinez are Friday, July 30, 2021 at 5:00 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Cremation will follow the services with inurnment to be held at a later date.
Viewing will precede the funeral from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Friday, July 30, also at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
John David Martinez was born on October 30, 1948 in Denver, CO to John Martinez and Angelique (LaMont) Olona. John made his journey to the Spirit World on July 23, 2021 in Chadron, NE.
John is survived by his children, Sherry Martinez of Denver, CO, Johnny Martinez of Denver, CO, Rudy Martinez of Denver, CO, and Althea Martinez of Chadron, NE; Hunka sister, Delores Halfacre; aunts, Alyce Lamont and Catherine Lamont-Hudson; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and special friend & mother of Althea, Reva Lynn Littlemoon.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Martinez and Angelique (Lamont) Olona.
Pallbearers will be Joray Maldonado, George Maldonado, Zeus Gonzalez, Lank Thomas, Robert Ciscneros, Nathan Brown, Donald Hudson, and Chasky Bear Eagle.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
