Johnny Rodgers Home After 2 Weeks Hospitalization For COVID, Pneumonia

Nebraska football great Johnny Rodgers is back home after spending more than two weeks in the hospital with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

. The 1972 Heisman Trophy winner and 2000 College Football Hall of Fame inductee admitted to the Associated Press he hadnโ€™t been vaccinated, but said he thought he was protected by devices heโ€™d installed in his home.

Rodgers said one device claimed to weaken viruses while another was a type of air cleaner – adding that he now plans to get vaccinated as soon as doctors clear him to do so.

Rodgers also said he believes his superior physical condition helped him have a better outcome than many 70-year-olds who contract the coronavirus.
