Noem Plans Bill To Ban Transgenders From Girls Sports

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is planning to revive the debate over transgender women and girls participating in organized interscholastic sports.

Noem supported the concept of banning the practice, but issued a “style and form veto” for a bill doing just that and lawmakers failed to override the veto.

She’s now proposing a new ban bill, which she describes as an effort to ensure “an equal playing field” for women.

Advocates for transgender people call it an attack on transgender women and girls.
