Funeral services for 61-year old  Kerman Kills Small are Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 at the Outback located 6 Miles north of Loneman, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Waylon Black Crow

Burial is at the Good Lance-Brave Family Cemetery in Oglala

A two-night wake service starts Wed, May 11, at 4:00 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala and resumes there Thurs at noon.

Kerman Wallace Kills Small “Tapskal Hoksila” was born on October 16, 1960 in Pine Ridge, SD to Cornelius Kills Small and Vera Good Lance.  Kerman made his journey to the Spirit World on April 29, 2022 at the Monument Health Home Hospice in Rapid City, SD.

Kerman is survived by his daughters, Francesca Kills Small, Danielle Whirlwind Horse, Cherish Kills Small, Krista Kills Small, Melanie Kills Small, Ellen Kills Small, Tessie Yellow Horse, and Carley Plenty Arrows; sons, Jonathan Kills Small, Kerman Kills Small, Jr., Danial Kills Small, Wyatt Blacksmith, and Isaiah Crow; significant other, Barbara Niess; siblings, James Kills Small, Carol (Craig) Krugler, Hilda Kills Small, Donovan Kills Small, Valerie (Marvin Janis) Kills Small, Cissy Big Crow, Renfred Good Lance, Mona Brave, Lori Bagola, Dana (Sam) Chase, Albert Brave, Jr., Hunka siblings, Pat Two Bulls and Richard LaRoche; aunt, Corrine Brave; and 32 grandchildren and Kerman helped raise Jesse & Bradley Jensen, Ariana & Hailey Titus, Jaceon “Tatanka” Nash, Jasten & Cage Stevenson, Brighton & Eli Crow, and the Brave Girls-Kaylahnee, Annabelle, and Jamiyla.

Kerman was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius Kills Small and Vera Good Lance; paternal grandparents, James Kills Small and Agnes Mousseaux; maternal grandparents, Pete Good Lance, Jeanette Comes From Among Them, and Gilbert Brave; daughters, Vera Rose Kills Small and Amelia Kills Small; son, Ryan Kills Small; siblings, Eldora Kills Small and Francis Good Lance, Sr.; aunts, Cornelia Black Feather and Annabelle Brave; uncles, Albert Brave, Sr., Samuel Brave, Chauncey Lone Elk, Sr., and Marvin Bear Nose; cousin, Donald “Zondo” Brave, Sr.; and nieces, Alicia Janis and Sharon Crow.  

Pallbearers will be BJ Plenty Arrows, Brandon “Baboon” Kills Small, John Swift Hawk, Isaiah Martin, Hoksila Blacksmith, John John Kills Small, Bradley “Bubba” Jensen, Quinn Kills Small, Isaiah Crow, and Chip Clarke. 

Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
