Funeral services for 36-year old Lavonne Rose Tobacco are Monday, August 16, 2021 11:00 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD, with the Rev Asa Wilson officiating.
Burial is at the Tobacco Family Cemetery in the Calico Community of Pine Ridge, SD.
A one-night wake service starts Sunday, August 15, at 3:00, also at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall.
Lavonne Rose Tobacco was born on August 3, 1985 in Pine Ridge, SD to Dugan Tobacco, Sr. and Paulette Warrior. Lavonne made her journey to the Spirit World on August 9, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Lavonne is survived by daughter, Blessing Running Horse; sons, Thomas Running Horse, Brendan Running Horse, Jr., and Adler Walking; and siblings, Wynona Tobacco, Adam Tobacco, William Warrior, Darrell Chase In Winter, Jr., Tashina Chaser In Winter, and Courtney Warrior.
Lavonne was preceded in death by her father, Dugan Tobacco, Sr.; mother, Paulette Warrior; brother, Dugan Tobacco, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Vincent Tobacco and Irene Wounded; and maternal grandparents, Vera White Dress, Roy Warrior, Mary Warrior, Harvey Warrior, and Silas White Dress.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Tobacco, Billy Bores A Hole, Timothy Bores A Hole, Charles New, Jr., Dale Warrior, Sr., Dale Warrior, Jr., Chad Tobacco, and Cory Tobacco.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pine Ridge High School Class of 2004, and all friends & relatives.
